Questions for Consideration:

You don't have to be a financial expert to figure out your spending plan, or budget.  First, stop using your credit cards.  Various methods and strategies have been suggested, such as cut them up and discard them, or wrap them and place them in a pan of water, freeze, and allow them to thaw before you use them.
Next, consider what you own and what you owe.  A balance sheet will help you when you use financial records to accurately calculate the current market value of your assets, and determine your liabilities.  Another financial worksheet is the income statement, or cash flow statement. One tool that can help you is an on-line financial calculator provided by the Consumer Credit Counseling Service of greater Washington.
For more assistance contact your local CCCS, or CCCS of the Gulf Coast area is willing to provide free and confidential on-line assistance no matter where you live.
Finally, set up a spending plan and decide how you are going to get out of debt and on the road to a healthy financial lifestyle!
