What I understand and believe about Prayer

Prayer is the answer to every problem in life.  It puts us in tune with Divine Wisdom, which knows how to adjust everything perfectly.  So often we do not pray in certain situation because from our standpoint the outlook is hopeless. But nothing is impossible with God.  Nothing is so entangled that it cannot be remedied.  No human relation is too strained for God to bring about reconciliation and understanding.  No habit is so deeply rooted that it cannot be overcome. No one is so weak that he cannot be strong.  No one is so ill that he cannot be healed. No mind is so dull that it cannot be made brilliant. Whatsoever we need or desire, if we trust God, He will supply it. If anything is causing worry and anxiety, let us stop rehearsing the difficulty and trust God’s healing, love, and power.” –E.G. PRAYER FEATURES

One of my favorite prayer stories took place in 1998.  My parents had just spent two years in China teaching English at a provincial university and sharing their love of Jesus with their precious students.  I lived in Idaho with my husband, and when speaking with Mom over poor telephone connections, found out that when they were to arrive in Las Vegas, Nevada (two or three days hence), they had no funds and no place to stay.  Mom’s faith was strong as she said, “the Lord will provide.”  Well, the Lord was moving me in a major way to help Him provide, and I made telephone calls to family and friends.  Together the Lord blessed us as we worked to find a suitable and affordable place for our parents to live while they sought employment.  Dad was certified to teach secondary math, and mom was a trauma nurse, but they were at a point in their lives that they were unsure of whether or not they wanted to return to those career fields.  Thankfully, the Lord led us to an apartment complex that needed a manager—not only did the Lord provide a place to stay, but He provided a job and a built-in mission field!  Today, my lovely parents are still managing those apartments, and have been a blessing to so many others during that time.

As you browse this website, I hope you find blessings in the testimonies and stories that I share...and you must know that they all come about as a result in God's leading in my life through prayer and Bible study.  Won't you join me?
