Where Are Your Priorities?

Funny how we believe what newspapers
say,
but question what the Church
and Bible say.
Funny how $10 looks so big
when we take it to church
and so small when we take it
to the store.
Funny how laborious it is
to read a chapter in the Bible and
how easy it is to read 200 pages
of a best selling novel.
Funny how big an hour of serving
God looks and how small 60
minutes are when spent watching
T.V., playing golf or shopping.
Funny how we can't think of
anything to say when we pray and don't
have any difficulty talking for
hours with a friend.
Funny how we need 2 or 3 weeks
to fit a church event into our schedule,
but can adjust it for a social/entertainment
event at the last minute.
Funny how we find it hard
to help a charitable cause with its hand out in front
of a store, and don't have a
problem with an impulse purchase inside.
Funny, isn't it?
We love to tell ourselves
that God is first in our lives...
Ask yourself now after a bit
of honest introspection... is He truly?
"...You are worried and upset about many
things,
but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen
what is better, and it will not be taken away
from her."
Luke 10:41-42
